Appalachian Native Plants, Inc. is dedicated to demonstrating and providing education in preservation, propagation and production methods of Native Ornamental plant species and sustainable/organic food, as well as supporting the regional agricultural economy.
We focus on production of native azalea liners in 50 cell plug trays and quart size liners in 15 pot trays. For wholesale sales, we request that minimum orders be either 4 plug trays (200 plants) or 7 quart trays (105 plants). As a non-profit we provide educational opportunities in field and container production of these plants. We also offer educational opportunities in sustainable and organic food production with the goal of supporting community food systems and the regional agricultural economy.
The seeds we propagate come from superior selections from over 20 years of production. Forms are selected for characteristics of growth, foliage, and bloom. We want to work with growers to provide them the material they need and we are happy to discuss contract growing.

Great News! I am going to be offering bedding plants again in 2008!!! The new 'division' of Cook's Greenhouses is 'Garden Heirlooms & Herbs'.
I will be raising plants on a smaller scale than I have in the past, but you will again be able to get the 'hard to find' heirloom tomatoes and a wide selection of herbs.
I will be updating my website with my 2008 selections soon.
Another interesting change for 2008 is the addition of a Handicap Garden (for lack of a better description at this time) on the grounds. It is in the planning stages and your suggestions/comments are welcome. So far the plan includes interesting raised beds and containers that are easily accessible. Planted in these mini gardens will be inspiring selections for all gardening enthusiasts.
I am in the process of writing about heirloom tomatoes and I'd appreciate you sharing your experiences with me, please go to my website using the link provided and send me an e-mail.
Thank you!
Sandee Cook

Sevierville, TN 37876
865-453-6108
East Fork Nursery started business in the Fall of 1987. We have grown steadily until we now have in stock over 80,000 containers. Our goal is to produce the best quality plant we can and to grow the best cultivars available in each of the species. We have hot, humid summers and (usually) cold winters, so our plants are tough to East Tennessee weather. We grow only those plants that can prosper under these conditions.
Specializing in the following: evergreen azaleas, native azaleas and other natives, hardy camellias, dwarf conifers, crapemyrtle, hollies, and mountain laurel.
